Produced by: Josh Miller and Mitch Miyagawa
Written/Directed by: Mitch Miyagawa
Status: Production with TVO to begin in 2010

Apologies is the story of writer/director Mitch Miyagawa’s personal search for answers to the question: Does it mean anything when a government says, “We’re sorry”?

Mitch may have the most “apologized-to” family in the world.  Due to their Japanese, Chinese and Aboriginal heritages, his parents and stepparents have received three different apologies from the Canadian government—so far.

Apologies is the story of Mitch’s family intertwined with stories of other fascinating people who come from communities or minorities devastated by government policies in the past, and now seek—or reject—government apologies.
